People often lack an overview of suitable opportunities, further training options or the right places to turn to.
Families, in particular, frequently face organisational hurdles. A lack of childcare options makes it difficult for many parents to return to work or increase their working hours. At the same time, many people are looking for new prospects, better opportunities for development or a fresh start in their careers.
For people with a migration background, career changers or the long-term unemployed, the path back into the labour market is not always straightforward either. They often lack key contacts, information on funding opportunities or guidance in finding the right job.
The good news is that, particularly in the Augsburg region, skilled workers are in demand across many sectors. This opens up numerous opportunities for people looking to make a fresh start in their careers or return to work after a break.
A platform that provides guidance
Damit der Wiedereinstieg leichter gelingt, haben wir als Netzwerk in der Region A³ dieses Infoportal geschaffen. Hier findest du gebündelt Informationen, Beratungsangebote, Weiterbildungen, Veranstaltungen und praktische Unterstützung rund um den beruflichen Wiedereinstieg.
Die Plattform richtet sich besonders an Menschen, die nach einer Auszeit wieder ins Berufsleben zurückkehren möchten. Egal, ob du bereits konkrete Pläne hast oder noch nach dem richtigen ersten Schritt suchst – hier findest du Orientierung, Inspiration und passende Angebote für deinen individuellen Weg.
About the Return to Work Network
The issue of returning to work has been supported in the A³ education region for over 20 years by various organisations, institutions and committed individuals. Over time, a stable network structure has developed, which has continued to grow.
The network includes, amongst others, the Labour Market Equal Opportunities Officers (BCA) at the Jobcentres and the Augsburg Employment Agency, the Equal Opportunities Officers for the City of Augsburg and the surrounding districts, as well as regional education providers offering a wide range of advisory and training services. This collaboration has been in place since the 2000s and has been continuously developed.
An important milestone was the ‘Perspektive Wiedereinstieg’ project run by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ) in cooperation with the Federal Employment Agency. In our region, it was successfully implemented by the BBZ Augsburg until 2021.
The COVID-19 pandemic and the associated changes, particularly for women and families, highlighted the importance of realigning the network. At the same time, the restrictions made it more difficult to reach the target group, necessitating new ways of engaging with them.
For this reason, the ‘Return to Work’ network was re-established, expanded and made more institutionalised in October 2022. In addition to the existing partners, further education providers as well as the education advisory services of the City of Augsburg and the districts of Augsburg and Aichach-Friedberg were also brought on board.
Since then, the network has met at least four times a year with the aim of specifically reaching out to people returning to work in the region and informing them about suitable training and advisory services. There is a particular focus on digital information channels, which has led to the development of the joint return-to-work platform.
