Educational guidance helps you to further develop your personal and career prospects. Together, we’ll look at your background and the opportunities available on the regional job and further education market.

Education and careers are more diverse today than ever before. That’s precisely what sometimes makes decisions difficult. Perhaps you’re asking yourself: What really suits me, my strengths and my interests? And which training or further education will bring me closer to my career goal?

The guidance service

Educational and career guidance helps you to clarify precisely these questions. It is aimed at all residents aged 18 and over in the city of Augsburg who are looking for suitable training or further education, wish to catch up on a qualification, or want to reorient their career.

The focus is on topics such as further education, gaining qualifications, career (re)orientation and returning to work after a long break.

The guidance service is independent, non-affiliated, anonymous and free of charge. You can access it flexibly – through a face-to-face meeting in person, by telephone, by email or online. In addition, there are group counselling sessions and (online) information events on various topics and for different target groups.

We provide practical support with questions such as:

  • Which career is right for me, and what training do I need for it?
  • What further training and qualification opportunities are available to me?
  • What alternatives do I have to the profession I’ve trained for?
  • How can I successfully return to work after a long career break?
  • How can I catch up on a vocational or educational qualification?
  • What opportunities do I have on the labour market if I have a disability or health condition?
  • What suitable qualifications are available in my situation?
  • What funding options are available to me?
