Aux is centrally located in Europe and forms part of the Munich metropolitan area. Motorways, main roads and a business airport make the region an ideal logistics hub.
Two international airports are within an hour’s reach, and Munich can be reached by ICE in 26 minutes. By 2026, the main station will be developed into a modern transport hub. A dense network of buses and trams, as well as six regional rail lines covering 217 km, connect the city with the surrounding area – used by over 77 million passengers a year.
Transport & Logistics: A robust infrastructure for the region
The Freight Transport Centre (GVZ) connects the region with seaports, the Alpine transit route and the European rail network. Logistics hubs in Kleinaitingen and Graben further strengthen the infrastructure. Since 2005, the logistics sector here has been growing at an above-average rate – with positive effects for businesses and the surrounding area.
Digitalisation: Faster and future-proof
The region is driving forward the expansion of its digital infrastructure. Broadband speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s are already available. The roll-out of 5G and LTE coverage is being further supported, particularly in rural areas.
Since 2022, mobile network operators such as Vodafone and Telekom have brought new 5G base stations online. This ensures better connectivity and drives innovation in areas such as Industry 4.0 and smart city applications – from optimised production to intelligent urban management.
