The Western Forests Nature Park<\/a> (<\/em>in German:\u00a0<\/em>Naturpark Westliche W\u00e4lder<\/em>) <\/em>covers an area of 1,200 square kilometres, criss-crossed by densely wooded hills, numerous streams, idyllic villages and beautiful meadows. Bordered by the Wertach, Mindel and Danube rivers, this local recreation area is ideal for outdoor leisure activities. The Western Forests were officially designated a nature park in 1988 and have since been counted among the most beautiful and valuable regions in Germany.<\/p>
