The region continues to grow<\/strong><\/p>

It is not only the town of Aux that is attracting new residents \u2013 the district is also growing steadily. It is the third-largest in Bavaria, and the population has been rising every year since 2011. Whilst other regions are seeing declines in the working-age population, the trend in Aux remains comparatively stable. Among those aged 19 to 24, an increase is even expected by 2039.<\/p>

With 1.74 children per woman, the birth rate in Aux is above the Bavarian average (1.55). In 2017, Aichach-Friedberg even reached 1.81 \u2013 the highest in Bavaria. Nevertheless, it remains below the required level of 2.1.<\/p>

Population forecast: Augsburg compared<\/strong><\/p>

Compared with the rest of the country, Aux is one of the cities experiencing above-average growth. Between 2020 and 2035, the population is expected to rise by 7.4 %. This puts Aux in second place among Germany\u2019s 30 largest cities \u2013 behind Leipzig (+12.7 %), but ahead of Berlin (+6.6 %) and Frankfurt (+6.2 %).<\/p>

Migration patterns in the business location Augsburg<\/strong><\/p>

Since 2014, Germany\u2019s population has been growing mainly due to immigration \u2013 Aux is also benefiting from this and is performing better than Munich in terms of internal migration.<\/p>
